Wages

Starting wage for the Coordinator - Facilities / Real Estate will depend on experience and education. $23.50-$33.44

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities for the Coordinator - Facilities / Real Estate include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests, assess repair or replacement needs, and coordinate repairs with internal staff or external vendors, as necessary.

• Monitor and improve efficiency and effectiveness of facility, premises and grounds through continuous exchange and best practices. Sharing with other sites or through initiating and driving facility related projects

• Coordinate regular preventive and corrective maintenance of facility premises and equipment, (e.g., HVAC, alarms, security), to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.

• Sources and maintains adequate supplies, parts, and tools inventory to support ongoing maintenance requirements.  

• Oversee contracted services operations, including but not limited to janitorial, security, landscaping, and other services, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance with contracts.

• Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and visitors.

• Travel to other Facilities to perform bi-annual branch preventative maintenance service audits. 

• Responsible for recycling of universal and hazardous waste streams, (e.g., bulbs, lamps, paint, aerosol cans, and pesticides).

• Provides users instructions on building Standard Operating Procedures.  

• GL coding, submission for approval/payment for subscriptions, utilities, and progress payments. This financial oversight ensures cost-effective management of our facilities.

• Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and costs. Maintain accurate records, including blueprints, property databases, maintenance logs, and reference files. 

• Be on call and respond promptly to after-hours and emergency calls, ensuring swift resolution of urgent facility issues.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma: Associated degree is highly desirable.

• Three years recent experience working in the construction industry, with experience in facilities management, or commercial real estate.

• Knowledge in building construction and maintenance trades. 

• The Coordinator - Facilities / Real Estate must be able to make repair decisions that ensure repair problems are solved in a cost-effective manner.

• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to assist in all departments, cooperate with all personnel, and manage helpers in a professional manner.

• Must have knowledge of electrical circuitry, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.  

• Must be able to troubleshoot and facilitate repairs of facility maintenance problems with minimal use of outside service companies. 

• Organizational skills and a friendly approach

• Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
