Overview

Quinn is hiring an Accounts Payable Manager in City of Industry, California.

 

Accounts Payable Manager will manage all aspects of accounts payable by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

Wages

The Accounts Payable Manager's starting wage will depend on experience and education. $68,000 - $90,000

Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Manager's essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

· Ensures accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.

· Reviews monthly vendor statements for past due invoices and reconciles vendor statements against accounting records.

· Plans and supervises month-end closing.

· Assigns and monitors work of accounts payable coordinators.

· Oversees the training and performance of the accounts payable staff to ensure compliance, accuracy and timeliness in all areas of responsibility.

· Develops methods and/or procedures to enhance efficiency of work performed.

· Oversees development of department staff.

· Oversees invoice scanning/imaging process. 

· Responsible for annual filing of 1099’s.

· Responsible for clearing stale-dated checks and unclaimed property in accordance with state laws.

· Anticipates and resolves all problems that may arise within the department.

· Maintains policies and procedures manual and ensures compliance by all departments.

· Collaborates with Manager – Purchasing to enhance the purchase to pay cycle.

· Provides periodic in-service training of accounts payable policies and procedures for other employees and management.

· Maintains and supports a safe work environment.

 

Directly supervises seven to eight employees in the Accounts Payable Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
