Overview

Handles Rentals, Machine Sales, Service, and Warranty for all Crushing and Screening products to maximize revenue; effectively services the needs of current and prospective customers. Supports Heavy Rents business as needed.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary. $70,200 - $84,854

 

 

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned and may be assigned to provide services outside of normal working hours during the week or on the weekend when unexpected needs surface.

 

Rentals – Heavy Rents / Crushing and Screening

  • Coordinate rental equipment repairs.
  • Create rental quotes and agreements.
  • Coordinate transport to/from customer
  • Maintain rental documents (signed agreements, insurance cert and purchase orders).
  • Invoice rental agreements.
  • Correspond with customers.
  • Assist in maintaining and adjusting competitive rental rates
  • Monitor market for any significant moves or changes.
  • Assist Sales Rep. and PSSR as needed
  • Ensure rental machines have a PERP permit and form 53.

Sales

  • Heavy Rents prep for Sales as CCU
  • Invoice customer or transfer to Rental account.
  • Assist in determining market rate of used crushing equipment
  • Assist Sales Rep. and PSSR as needed
  • Provide gross margins to accounting and enter accruals.
  • Supply machine information for PERP/EIN registration.
  • Register machines with manufacturer for warranty and register Cat engines for warranty.
  • Maintain inventory list and provide company Controller with monthly report. Submit Interest Subsidy report to Metso or other Vendors as required.
  • Create purchase order for credit and ensure credits are applied to the designated machines.

Service

  • Supervisor for C & S Tech’s.
  • Correspond with customers and provide support as needed.
  • Open work order, maintain and close work order.
  • Create quote for customer in Parts & Service Quoter if needed.
  • Update customer on repairs through communications software.
  • Maintain work order documents, service reports, quotes, etc.
  • Ensure all parts are returned and credited.
  • Assist customers with obtaining any additional troubleshooting documentation needed.
  • Schedule Technicians daily work
  • Schedule, provide content, and lead weekly safety meeting
  • Schedule needed Technician Training such as MSHA and forklift.
  • Confirm LMS assigned safety trainings have been completed by Technicians
  • Order supplies for Field Service trucks

Warranty

  • Advise technician when dispatching the repair is possibly warranty and to capture the require documentation.
  • Create warranty report with pictures, required by Vendor
  • Submit claim in Vendor system and create claim in DSB or Vendors requirements
  • Monitor claims to determine they are settled. Enter settlement in DBS and send credit to A/P for processing.
  • Maintain warranty report.
  • Maintain work orders for Cat engines and send to Quinn’s warranty department for processing.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensures good housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Advises management of significant competitive sales and rental activities.
  • Represents Quinn Crushing and Heavy Rents in a professional manner that promotes the goals and values set forth by Quinn Company and the Caterpillar organization.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Will require non-exempt leadership to departmental personnel in the execution of their duties. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities also include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. Maintain a safe work environment. Advise/assist Crushing and Screening General Manager in business planning and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

 

Qualifications

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Seven years’ experience as a CAT dealership Coordinator in at least two of the following functional areas: Rental, Service, Sales, or Warranty. Certificate of completion or AA/AS degree from a community college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general procedure manuals, operating instructions or governmental regulations.  Ability to write / generate routine reports, business correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to deal with problems involving customer disputes, competitive issues, and rental logistics.
