The Tool Room Attendant performs checkout and maintenance of shop tooling, ordering of all Service department supplies, keeps shops in compliance of Hazmat Regulations, performs facility/safety compliance inspections, and serves as liaison to vendors and suppliers.
Wages
Starting wage for the Tool Room Attendant will depend on experience and education. $19.50 - $23.00
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities for the Tool Room Attendant include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Accountable for completion of daily shop inventory and inspection reports
•Performs routine maintenance of tools and tool groups in tool room
•Primary contact for maintenance and supplier vendors, including but not limited to invoice administration, and new vendor set up
•Reconciles vendor deliveries to ensure correct payment and receipt of material
•Record keeping and reporting of environmental inspections
•Coordinates preventative maintenance for shop cranes, steamers and air compressors
•Recording of warranty and core parts, shipping parts to CAT for warranty credit and scraping of out of date warranty parts
•Delivery of materials and supplies to predesignated areas within the facility
•May perform or delegate tasks related to hazmat compliance including but not limited to, clearing of oily debris or spills, changing out hazmat waste bins in the shop, and general maintenance of wash rack or sand blast areas
•Assists qualified Technicians with simple repair tasks

Qualifications
Two to three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
