In this role, you will oversee transportation functions across a defined region, supervise drivers, manage dispatch operations, and ensure compliance with DOT and company regulations.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $70,304 – $81,319

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Manage Regional Dispatch Operations: Ensure timely and accurate delivery and pickup of equipment across Quinn business units.
  • Coordinate Equipment Movement: Use transportation and rental software to plan, assign, and direct workflow.
  • Optimize Staffing & Scheduling: Evaluate staffing needs, adjust work schedules, and manage workforce assignments.
  • Resolve Transportation Issues: Communicate with customers and employees to research and resolve routing, hauling, and delivery challenges.
  • Control Costs: Monitor outside hauling usage, overtime expenses, and allocate transportation costs to the appropriate departments.
  • Provide Training: Schedule and track employee training, including online courses (Pure Safety, Dealer Performance Center, etc.).
  • Ensure DOT Compliance: Confirm driver completion of BIT inspections, review logbooks, and ensure adherence to vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Manage Documentation: Collect vehicle inspection reports and submit required documentation promptly.
  • Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safety‑first culture; ensure all accidents or injuries are documented quickly and accurately.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Evaluate employees, complete PADS reviews on time, and hold EOS feedback meetings to create action plans.
  • Promote Quinn Values: Foster a culture of Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Quality, and Service while inspiring excellence and loyalty.
  • Partner With HR: Work closely with HR to support staffing, employee relations, and business objectives.
  • Travel Regionally: Visit each branch in your assigned region at least three times per year.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise regional transportation employees
  • Interview, hire, and train staff
  • Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities
  • Evaluate performance, reward and discipline employees
  • Address complaints and resolve operational issues

 

 

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Associate degree (AA or AS) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years of related industry experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation operations
  • Ability to manage dispatching software, logistics tasks, and fleet coordination
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and service excellence
