Quinn Company — one of the top‑performing Caterpillar dealers in the world — is hiring a Transport Driver in Oxnard, California. In this role, you will safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment using a tractor‑trailer rig. You’ll support customer operations, deliver rental equipment, pick up components, and represent Quinn with professionalism on every route.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $25.80 – $30.50 per hour

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Maintain Licensing & Compliance: Hold a valid California Class A driver’s license, clean driving record, and current medical card.
  • Operate Safely: Use company vehicles properly and follow all DMV and DOT regulations, including participation in drug and alcohol testing programs.
  • Inspect & Maintain Equipment: Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections; perform daily or routine maintenance and basic mechanical repairs when needed.
  • Load & Secure Equipment: Safely operate and secure a variety of heavy equipment onto trailers; unload equipment at customer sites and company facilities.
  • Demonstrate Equipment Operation: Provide basic operational instructions to customers when required.
  • Use Material Handling Tools: Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to load and unload cargo.
  • Manage Transportation Documents: Maintain permits, bills of lading, invoices, delivery receipts, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain Accurate Logbooks: Keep logbooks current and accurate at all times.
  • Plan Efficient Travel: Use road maps and routing tools to ensure timely transportation and delivery.
  • Work Flexible Hours: Adapt to scheduling needs to support customers and business demands.

 

 

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid California Class A driver’s license
  • Current DMV medical certificate
  • Forklift operator certification
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and operating equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service
