Wages

Starting wage for an Engine Rebuild technician will depend on experience and education. $38.91 - $48.74 

 

Responsibilities

Quinn is currently looking for a Component Specialist/Rebuild Technician with 5+ years of engine rebuild within Caterpillar machines, diagnosing and repairing such components as Engines, Transmissions, Axles, Fuel Systems, and Differentials.

 

Position: Engine Rebuild Technician

Location: City of Industry, CA

Pay Rate: $38.48-$48.74

 Requirements:

  • LARGE ENGINE OVERHUALING, 36 series CAT, large vessels.
  • The primary function of this position is to determine the status of service needed for various Caterpillar equipment components (transmissions, engines, fuel systems, differentials, axles)
  • Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs, test running, and/or painting of diesel engines in a shop environment.
  • Perform the necessary service, repairs, replacements, installations, or re-building of parts and to restore the equipment to proper operation.
  • Promptly, at start of shift, review work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, and prepare for operations.
  • Performs repairs needed to system component(s) (fuel Systems, Drive Train, etc.).
  • Order or obtain from stock the appropriate parts needed to make the repairs.
  • Install, replace, re-build or repair the component and/or equipment in a timely manner and according to specifications.
  • Test the part or equipment and perform quality check after work is complete.
  • This position is responsible for high quality repair service on equipment and engines, responding to customer needs in a positive, safe and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.

Qualifications

One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Five plus year's heavy equipment experience or equivalent education and experience.
