In this leadership role, you will oversee field technicians, coordinate repair schedules, support customer needs, and ensure high‑quality service delivery. You will partner closely with Service Managers and Coordinators while representing Quinn’s commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Lead Field Technicians: Manage technicians daily, ensuring timely arrival to jobs and consistent communication with customers.
  • Partner With HR: Collaborate with your assigned HR representative on employee relations and workforce development initiatives.
  • Support Repair Estimates: Work with Service Coordinators to provide accurate time and cost estimates for repairs.
  • Review and Validate Work Orders: Ensure Coordinators receive complete, properly documented work orders capturing all parts and labor.
  • Develop Technician Skills: Make sure technicians are properly trained, equipped, and tooled for current and future Caterpillar products.
  • Support Performance Reviews: Complete or assist Service Managers with technician reviews using the PADS process.
  • Manage Service Vehicles: Oversee maintenance, repairs, cleanliness, and professional presentation of service vehicles.
  • Prioritize Safety: Promote a Safety First culture, maintain a safe work environment, and complete injury reports promptly.
  • Communicate Clearly: Provide timely updates to customers on repair progress and equipment status.
  • Serve as Acting Manager: Step in as interim Service Manager during absences.
  • Use Technology Effectively: Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Associate’s degree in Business or a Technical discipline
  • 3–4 years of related industry experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Strong computer skills and general mechanical service abilities
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills
  • Ability to support technicians and customers in a fast‑moving field environment
