The Key Account Coordinator is responsible for supporting and servicing the rental and sales needs of strategic key accounts, focusing on maximizing revenue and customer satisfaction. This role acts as the main point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring seamless coordination of equipment rentals, sales, and related services. The Coordinator works closely with internal teams and external customers to deliver solutions that meet jobsite requirements and promote the use of Caterpillar and allied products.

 

 

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $24.17 - $30.50

 

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for key account customers, handling rental requests, sales inquiries, and service needs.
  • Take customer calls, answer questions, and provide quotes for equipment rentals.
  • Assist customers in selecting the correct equipment size, mix, and model for their applications and jobsites.
  • Promote Caterpillar and allied products for all rental and sales needs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of rental transactions, including invoicing, insurance verification, credit checks, and payment terms.
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment delivery and hauling, working with appropriate channels and processing billing.
  • Update rental transactions and related information in the company database (e.g., IRental, CRM).
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with the Service Department.
  • Monitor repair status and costs, and ensure customer equipment abuse is identified and billed accordingly.
  • Make recommendations to management regarding fleet mix and equipment needs to maximize revenue.
  • Assist outside Sales Representatives and support other counter operations as needed.
  • Advise management of significant competitive activities and market trends.
  • Oversee and train rental coordinators, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues related to equipment deliveries, repairs, billing, and logistics.
  • Retrieve and review daily management reports, briefing the Key Account Rep and Sales Manager as needed.
  • Foster relationships with local and national customers increase market share.
  • Collaborate with marketing, asset management, and other company divisions to grow and penetrate new key accounts.
  • Attend sales/management meetings, trade shows, and assigned training.
  • Comply with company credit policies and assist with collections as requested.
  • Represent Quinn Rental Services professionally, promoting company goals and values.
  • Be available for customer requests outside traditional business hours, including weekends.
  • Travel as required, including overnight stays and occasional airline travel to customer offices.
  • Model a safety-first approach at all times.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

May provide non-exempt leadership to departmental coordinators, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. Advise and assist Sales Manager in addressing complaints, resolving problems, and appraising performance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Seven to ten years of related experience in equipment rental, sales, or customer service, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications and relevant rental management software. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to safety and professional conduct.
