In this key role, you will manage technicians, oversee repair scheduling, support service operations, and ensure repairs are completed accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with Service Managers and Coordinators to deliver exceptional service and reinforce Quinn’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Lead Technicians: Manage daily technician assignments, ensuring timely arrival to jobs and completion of scheduled work.
  • Support HR Collaboration: Partner with the HR representative on employee relations, performance, development, and workforce planning.
  • Provide Repair Estimates: Work with Service Coordinators to deliver accurate estimates for repair time and cost.
  • Review Work Orders: Ensure Service Coordinators receive complete and accurate work orders with all parts and labor properly documented.
  • Develop Technician Skills: Ensure technicians are properly trained and equipped to support current and future Caterpillar products.
  • Complete Performance Reviews: Assist or lead technician performance reviews using the PADS process.
  • Manage Service Vehicles: Oversee vehicle maintenance, repair schedules, cleanliness, and professional appearance.
  • Promote Safety: Maintain a safe work environment, uphold a Safety First culture, and complete injury reports promptly and accurately.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide timely updates to customers regarding repair status and equipment needs.
  • Serve as Acting Manager: Step in as interim Service Manager when needed.
  • Utilize Technology: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Associate’s degree in Business or a Technical discipline
  • 3–4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Strong computer skills and general mechanical service abilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems, and support both technicians and customers effectively
