Quinn Company — proudly serving customers since 1919 — is hiring a Sales Representative – Rental Services in Carson, California. In this high‑energy, field‑based role, you will canvas your territory, identify new rental opportunities, generate leads, and support revenue growth for Quinn’s rental operations.

Quinn Company sells, services, and rents a full line of construction, agricultural, and material handling equipment, along with diesel and natural gas engines. We combine the entrepreneurial agility of a local business with the reach and support of a global Fortune 50 organization.

 

Wages

This position offers a base salary plus commission, with total annual compensation ranging from $70,000 to $125,000.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Canvas Your Territory: Visit job sites, contact contractors, and generate rental and sales leads from new and existing customers.
  • Identify Opportunities: Actively look for rental needs on job sites and gather key customer contact information for follow‑up.
  • Document Every Interaction: Generate detailed reports for each customer contact and enter information into company systems.
  • Coordinate With Leadership: Share qualified leads and insights with the appropriate Account Manager and Rental Manager.
  • Maintain Active Call Lists: Keep current call lists and rental agreement lists updated for timely follow‑up.
  • Plan Efficiently: Organize sales calls and activities to optimize productivity and territory coverage.
  • Know Your Products: Maintain strong knowledge of all Quinn products, services, features, and applications.
  • Stay Competitive: Understand local rental rates, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and market trends.
  • Support Fleet Performance: Assist in achieving rental fleet utilization, time, and financial objectives.
  • Drive Profitable Rentals: Rent equipment profitably as measured by gross profit on rental contracts.
  • Work Safely: Follow all Quinn safety policies, procedures, and work standards at all times.

 

 

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma
  • Sales or rental background in construction and/or industrial equipment
  • Strong equipment and application knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand equipment specifications, pricing, and technical references
  • Strong math skills for accurate sales calculations
  • Ability to develop experience in capital equipment sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence sales and rental transactions
  • Consistent attendance and reliability
  • Current California driver’s license in good standing
