In this role, you will support equipment operations, assist customers and employees, maintain shop cleanliness, handle materials, and perform basic equipment tasks to keep the facility running smoothly.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Maintain Shop & Yard: Perform general housekeeping for equipment storage areas and facility grounds.
  • Support Equipment Handling: Assist customers and employees with loading and unloading equipment.
  • Customer Assistance: Answer basic questions about equipment and purchases.
  • Process Equipment Check‑In/Out: Inspect equipment upon return or rental and verify operational condition.
  • Move Materials: Transport tools, equipment, and items to designated areas within the facility.
  • Clean Equipment: Use wash rack steam cleaners and water to clean machinery.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate cranes, forklifts, and related equipment, performing daily maintenance when required.
  • Identify Equipment: Recognize and operate Caterpillar and related equipment lines.
  • Assist Technicians: Support qualified technicians with simple repair tasks.
  • Receive Deliveries: Communicate and process incoming equipment deliveries.
  • Apply Equipment IDs: Coordinate the application of new equipment identification numbers.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Ability to operate material‑handling equipment (training provided as needed)
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment and materials safely
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
