In this role, you will serve as the communication hub between customers, technicians, and the service team. You will coordinate work orders, manage technician dispatching, monitor repair status, and support smooth day‑to‑day service operations.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Dispatch Technicians: Coordinate field and shop technicians to assigned work locations.
  • Reconcile Timekeeping: Review and reconcile technician time between Kronos and DBS.
  • Manage Work Orders: Update work‑in‑process, expedite work orders, and maintain organized workflow.
  • Communicate Status: Provide daily updates to customers and communicate work order status internally.
  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Respond promptly to customer inquiries and support positive NPS scores.
  • Order Parts: Order Caterpillar parts for customer jobs and source parts from external vendors.
  • Analyze WIP: Review work‑in‑progress, identify warranty involvement, and coordinate with internal or external resources.
  • Provide Estimates: Prepare Time & Material estimates as needed.
  • Authorize Purchases: Approve technician part purchases with or without a Quinn P.O.
  • Process Payments: Obtain customer payment methods, including handling cash transactions.
  • Support Invoicing: Maintain work orders and meet key invoice benchmarks (last day labor to invoice, WIP turns).
  • Prevent Write‑Offs: Track collections and act proactively to avoid uncollectible balances.
  • Support Product Knowledge: Maintain general understanding of Machine and Weld Shop Product Support.
  • Assist Branches: Provide service support to other branches when needed.
  • Ensure Flexibility: Perform additional duties, including occasional after‑hours or weekend work.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of related experience or training
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
