Overview

The Sales Representative – Rental Services is responsible for generating rental and sales leads within an assigned geographic territory. This position focuses on identifying opportunities at job sites, building strong customer relationships, and supporting profitable rental growth. Wages

Wages: $70,000 – $125,000 (Base + Commission)

Responsibilities

 

  • Canvass assigned territory to generate rental revenue and sales leads
  • Visit job sites to identify opportunities and gather contractor contact information
  • Document customer interactions and enter information into company systems
  • Communicate qualified leads to the appropriate Account Manager and Rental Manager
  • Maintain an updated call list and rental agreement list for timely follow‑ups
  • Determine call frequency based on customer needs and market activity
  • Maintain knowledge of all Quinn products, services, and applications
  • Stay informed about competitive rental rates, terms, and industry trends
  • Plan customer visits and activities to maximize efficiency
  • Support fleet utilization and profitability goals
  • Rent equipment on a profitable basis in alignment with company expectations
  • Work safely and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; must be willing to travel
  • In‑depth knowledge of construction equipment and product lines
  • Ability to understand specifications, price lists, and equipment reference material
  • Strong math skills and ability to perform sales calculations quickly
  • Proven ability to influence sales and rental decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to maintain consistent and reliable attendance
  • Education: High school diploma required
  • Experience:
    • Sales or rental background in construction or industrial equipment
    • Equipment and application knowledge
    • History of success in outside sales and customer development
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable in a fast‑changing environment
